The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was constructed as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). The Incas built the estate around 1450 but abandoned it a century later at the time of the Spanish conquest. Although known locally, it was not known to the Spanish during the colonial period and remained unknown to the outside world until American historian Hiram Bingham brought it to international attention in 1911. In the afternoon we will return to the station. We will embark in one of the most spectacular rides on board the exclusive Hiram Bingham deluxe train where we will have dinner. The experience on board is purely first class. Helicopter Airbus AS350 B3 Located in the Peruvian Andes in Cusco just 3 hours away from the historical center, Rainbow Mountain is becoming the main attraction to see after or before Machu Picchu. It is also known as Vinicunca, a word originating from Peru’s native tongue Quechua, which translates to “colored mountain”. The mountain is made up of 14 different, colorful minerals. As you could guess, the mountain is famed for its natural, multi-colored beauty at a staggering 5,200m above sea level. This rainbow-like appearance is created by the sediment of minerals throughout the area giving the mountain the turquoise, lavendar, gold and other colors. It was only recently discovered due to the snow melting revealing the hidden gem that’s still considered holy by many until this day. Since its discovery, Rainbow Mountain as slowly started gaining popularity and has even been listed in National Geographic’s “Top 100 Places To Visit Before You Die”. Once the mountain’s existence was known outside of the local communities, it started attracting locals and travelers alike, first having a couple of dozen of people to now taking in hundreds of visitors a day. The first thing that catches everyone’s attention is the colors seen nowhere else. It’s one of those places where the whole journey is as amazing as the destination. Lamas, horses, and alpacas are dispersed all over the range, with local communities still living almost the same life as before but now also helping visitors discover the colored mountain. The scenery along the trek is just like the pictures and even they don’t do it justice sometimes. Accommodation in Belmond Palacio Nazarenas (City View Studio Suite). Overnight in Cuzco.

The highest and largest in the world, the Salt Flats are a wonder like no other. Bright white stretching as far as the eye can see, contrasting with the deep blue skies, offers a scene that simply doesn’t look, seem, or feel real. A magical place that has people of every age acting like children, a trip to the Salar de Uyuni is a memorable one. Salar de Uyuni is the most photographed site in Bolivia and is what draws many people to the country. An area that seems to be from space, the salt flats are at an altitude of nearly 12,000 ft and nearly 5000 sq miles in area. Photos from these salt flats have Dali-like appearances as there is no horizon perspective in the bright salt landscape. There is no bad time to visit, during the rainy season from November to March a small layer of water creates a gorgeous reflection. After a light lunch (is included)our tour continues to the town of Colchani where you can learn more about Uyuni’s mining past and its artisanal salt production present, later we will enter to the amazing Uyuni Salt Flat, and arrive to the “Salt Hotel-Museum”, the first of its kind that nowadays works only as a museum. On our way we will be able to see fantastic optic illusions, able to see in raining season (December- March), and also we will visit “Ojos de Agua” (Eyes of water), small salt eruptions which help us to explain the development of this huge salt lake. At noon, you will reach the “Incahuasi Island” in the middle of the Salt flat; there are extraordinary calcareous rocks, large populations of Cactus, local fauna and spectacular 360 grades panoramic views of the Salt Flat from the summit.

We continue our journey and find the lagoons called “Joyas Altoandinas” (Jewels from the High lands): Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota and Honda where you will have the chance to see different kinds of local birds. Then we will stop and appreciate the Ollagüe Volcano. Next, you will go to the Chiguan salt marshes, which are distinguished from others by large reserves of sodium and potassium nitrate, which makes these salt marshes especially unique. Uyuni Transfer to the airport for your private flight to Lima via La Paz for (passport formalities) Meeting and transfer to the hotel. (Chevrolet Suburban; duration: 45 min.) Accommdation at Belmond Miraflores Park hotel (Ocean View Club Junior Suite).

Day 17:

At 07: 10 Тtransfer to the airport for Grand caravan Nasca flight. (Chevrolet Suburban; duration: 45 min) The Nazca Lines are a collection of giant geoglyphs—designs or motifs etched into the ground—located in the Peruvian coastal plain about 250 miles (400 kilometers) south of Lima. Created by the ancient Nazca culture in South America, and depicting various plants, animals, and shapes, the 2,000-year-old Nazca Lines can only be fully appreciated when viewed from the air given their massive size. Despite being studied for over 80 years, the geoglyphs—which were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994—are still a mystery to researchers. There are more than 800 straight lines on the coastal plain, some of which are 30 miles (48 km) long. Additionally, there are over 300 geometric designs, which include basic shapes such as triangles, rectangles, and trapezoids, as well as spirals, arrows, zig-zags and wavy lines. The Nazca Lines are perhaps best known for the representations of about 70 animals and plants, some of which measure up to 1,200 feet (370 meters) long. Examples include a spider, hummingbird, cactus plant, monkey, whale, llama, duck, flower, tree, lizard and dog. At the appointed time, transfer to the airport of Lima and board a private Cessna Grand Caravan for your flight to Pisco. Upon arrival transfer to the pier of Paracas Luxury hotel(duration: 25 min) where we will embark on a boat tour to the Ballesta Islands. The “Chandelier” a giant figure marked in the sand in the style of the Nazca lines can also be seen on our way to the islands. On the islands you will be able to observe sea lions, pelicans, Humboldt penguins and other sea birds. Duration of the tour: 3 hours(drinks and snacks included). Return to Pisco airport for your private flight over Nazca lines. Huge drawing that can only be seen from the sky and which represent several insects and animals like a monkey, hummingbird, condor or a spider. The origins are unknown, while many think it is a big astronomic calendar. Usually flights are made on group 12-seat Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. The exact flight time is coordinated on the day of the tour and depends on the weather conditions. The flight duration is about 1.5 hours. After flying around the lines, return to Pisco airport and check in for a private flight to Lima. A guide service is included. In Lima transfers are in Chevrolet Suburban, in Pisco Paracas - in Hyundai H1. Flights from Lima-Pisco-Lima and flights over the Nazca lines will be possible on different planes, but the same model of Cessna Grand Caravan. Dear Anna, Alexandra, Iona and the rest of the team at Ada Tours
Feed-back from a happy, satisfied customer!
A very big thank you for your very efficient services, Hospitality and most importantly your patience throughout the tour of my client. Dr. Chrysantha Mendis is very happy with the entire Tour. You did a fantastic job by organizing a detailed tour package covering 7 countries, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. Dr. Mendis has enjoyed all the countries though he could not do a few tours in Peru which is understandable due to political unrest. We will recommend Ada Tours to all our clients in Sri Lanka and will start promoting your tours in our website.
Best wishes and kind regards,
Shamali
REVIEW №4- Carol
Hi Anna, thank you for the update on the glasses. I’ll wait and see what happens! Alan and I are now back in the UK. We loved our trip to the Pantanal and Bonito. Our guide, Alessandra was brilliant with lots of knowledge and very considerate and helpful. The only hitch we had was on our flight back to Rio because the second leg of the trip was cancelled and we were rescheduled to a later plane and our luggage was mislaid. Fortunately it arrived in Rio a day later, before we flew home. Thank you for arranging the trip.
Best wishes Carol

Hello Anna and Natalia,
Thank you for all your help with our trip! I know our group was difficult, and I appreciate your patience with us. We loved the tours, the horseback ride, and the absolutely beautiful lunch at the vineyard. Our guides and drivers were fantastic, especially Luis. And the hotels were perfectly located. It was such a convenience to be centrally located in both Lisbon and Madeira.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful holiday and I look forward to working with you in the new year!
