Itinerary

Day 01:Punta Arenas – Seno Otway Penguin Colony - Puerto Natales

Reception at the airport. 16:30 hrs. Regular transfer that goes straight from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales (246 kms, 3 hours). There is one stop on the way to visit the Seno Otway penguin colony. Arrival to the Hotel in Puerto Natales. Dinner included.

Day 02: Sailing from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park

Breakfast. 07:40 hrs. Transfer from your Hotel to the pier to start a sailing trip through Ultima Esperanza Inlet to get closer Balmaceda Glacier and where it’s possible to see a cormorans colony, different species of birds like condors. After 1 hour more of navigation you will arrive to Serrano Glacier where there is a short walk of 20 minutes one way to get closer the Glacier. Afterwards, return to the small pier to take your luggage and change it to a zodiac boat where a fluvial circuit will be departing to join two National Parks: Bernardo O’Higgins with Torres del Paine and sailing up Serrano River arriving to Serrano area in Torres del Paine. There will be a vehicle waiting for you to drive you to Laguna Amarga area arriving to Las Torres shelter. Accommodation and dinner.

Day 03: Base of Paine Towers

Breakfast. 08:00 we will start a full day trekking excursion to the Base of the Towers, one of the most spectacular and classical trekking in the park. You'll cross a suspended bridge and remount the slopes of the Almirante Nieto Mount, bordering the Ascencio River. After one hour trekking you will go into the Valley and can reach Chileno Refuge. From there the trail leads us through the forest, in the middle of unforgettable landscapes to Las Torres base camp. Once there, you can enjoy of a good weather conditions to follow trekking up to see in front of you the towers. You must trek one hour more to reach the Las Torres viewpoint. Afterwards, return starts on the same way. It's an average of 7-8 hours round trip. It includes box lunch. Accommodation in a shelter. Dinner included.

Day 04: Los Cuernos shelter (11 kms. Trekking)

Breakfast. The trekking will be bordering Nordensjold Lake and you will enjoy its green coloured waters. On this way you will have to cross several narrow rivers living a more adventurous journey. A box lunch is included. Accommodation at Los Cuernos shelter. Dinner included.

Day 05: Paine Grande shelter – French Valley (7,5 kms. trekking)

Breakfast. From here you will have to trek to the French Valley. It's a beautiful mountain valley descending from the middle of the massif toward the Nordenskjold Lake. Flanked by the horns of Paine to the east and by the impressive Paine Grande (3050 meters/10006 ft) to the west. You must follow trekking up to the valley until the upper viewpoints surrounded by some of needles and walls most wonderful of the massif: Cuernos, Espada, Mascara, Hoja, Aleta de Tiburon, Catedral, and Paine Grande. The forest and the suspended glaciers that cause continuous ice and snow fallings, give you a unique scenery to this walk. You have to descend the same trail and turn west rounding Skottberg Lake until arrive to Paine Grande shelter. It includes box lunch and dinner. Accommodation.

Day 06: Grey shelter (11 kms. trekking)

Breakfast. Departing from the Refugio Paine Grande you can start trekking heading to Grey area an impressive Glacier 300 square kilometers of surface (115 square miles), 25 kilometers long (16 miles). It overflows from the Southern Ice Fields falling into Grey Lake. The trail leads you to a wonderful viewpoint after having been walking through a native forest of Lenga where it is possible to appreciate the whole lake, the glacier and the mountains that emerge from the west of the Ice Fields. Two more hours trekking and you will arrive to another viewpoint just in front of the Glacier. If you are lucky you will see some floes that come down from the glacier. Accommodation. Box lunch and dinner inlcuded.

Day 07: Pehoe Lake (11 kms. trekking)

Breakfast. At 08:00 am return on the same way from Grey area to Paine Grande area near Pehoe Lake shore. At our back we can see the Grey Glacier while returning by crossing back with the catamaran vessel Pehoe Lake that arrives to Pudeto Area. Once here, you will have to wait for a while to take a regular bus that will drive you to Puerto Natales. Arrival to Puerto Natales at 17:30 aprox. Accommodation in Puerto Natales.

Day 08: Puerto Natales – Punta Arenas

Breakfast. During the morning a vehicle will pick you up to go straight to Punta Arenas to drop off at the airport.
