Thirty beautiful mulata-dancers together with a competent male cast take a culture journey on the popular Brazilian music. It all started when the Portuguese settlers could not impose their habits, religion or slavery on the natives that used to live free on shores and rainforests of their land. The only way found by the settlers was to bring African for labor, which besides the workforce brought also their culture. Enslaved in the deep bilges of the ships, the Africans felt a huge homesickness of the place to which they could not go back again. Then they sang their suffering using the sound of improvised drums. These moans contained marks of several generations, the legacy of their ancestrals.
