Itinerary
Day 1: Balmaceda - Coyhaique – Cerro Castillo
Arrival to Balmaceda airport. Departure towards south to Coyhaique and Chiguayel lagoon, to Las Horquetas area. A road from there goes to National Reserve Cerro Castillo. We will go slowly into this beautiful valley where the road begins to lose its size giving birth to a very poor passing path. We will go until Turbio river, where we will set camp. Meal and accommodation in camp.
Day 2: Cerro Castillo
After breakfast we will continue our trip and we will cross Peñón way, which will welcome us to the valley of El Bosque river. From there it is posible to watch the majestic Castillo Hill. On the shore of this river we will set camp. Meal and accommodation in camp.
Day 3: Cerro Castillo
Breakfast early in the morning to go down slowly and take a atream to go directly to Cerro Castillo Lagoon. This lagoon is fed directly by waters from this mountain. Time to set camp. Meal. Time to rest from this adventure.
Day 4: Cerro Castillo
After breakfast we will continue surrounding this mounting to get to camp called new zelander, where we will get ready to catch the top of the hill, we will eat and set camp again to get some rest and be ready for a new day.
Day 5: Cerro Castillo
Breakfast early in the morning to face this challenge on this new day, trying to get higher following the normal route to the top of this awesome top to return to nez zeland camp. Time to rest, dinner.
Day 6 Cerro Castillo - Coyhaique
After breakfast and after these days full of exiting we will begin to go down directly to Cerro Castillo Village. Transfer to Coyhaique.
