This cloud forest is located just 30 km from the city of San Jose in a beautiful rural area that sits very near the Irazú Volcano. The trip takes you through the town of Coronado where you can admire its’ beautiful neo-gothic cathedral – actually the only neo-gothic cathedral in Central America. Then the trip continues up into the hills through rural areas with dairy farms and panoramic views of the city of San Jose, the Braulio Carrillo National Park, the Barva Volcano, and the Irazú Volcano.
