In the morning after your gourmet breakfast at the Caribe Hotel, you will then transfer to the El Yunque Rainforest to explore the earthly wonders of tropical nature. El Yunque is the rainiest of all the National Forests with up to 240 inches per year. More than 100 billion gallons of rainwater fall on the Forest per year. The Forest contains rare wildlife including the Puerto Rican Parrot, which is one of the ten most endangered species of birds in the world. Its scientific name is Amazona vitatta. The Puerto Rican parrot is a small amazon parrot, about a foot in length, bright green, with red forehead, blue primary wing feathers, and flesh-colored bill and feet. Its primary habitat is the upper zones of the Luquillo Mountains. Approximately 50 other bird species are found on the Forest. The Forest is a wildlife refuge; no hunting is allowed. After your forest adventures, you may dine in the café or enjoy the luncheon social hour being transfer to La Marquesa Original Canopy.

Have you ever wanted to soar from tree to tree like Tarzan? We found some people that will help you zoom from tree to tree through the forest on a zip line. In addition, without even breaking a sweat! The Original Canopy Tour offers everyone an exhilarating opportunity to soar through the rain forest high above the forest floor. Experience Puerto Rico's pristine natural beauty from a unique perspective during this treetop canopy tour of the La Marquesa Forestry Reserve. As you maneuver from platform to platform, you will take in a bird's-eye view of the lush, tropical forest while feeling the excitement of gliding, falling and flying through the treetops. After this exciting day, most tour guests enjoy the evening in one of the Caribe Hilton’s restaurants or relax in the whirlpool suite.

In addition to produce, you will find handicrafts there, ranging from wooden santos (figures of saints) to handmade mundillo lace and carnival masks made of papier mache.
Throughout the tour, you will discover many gardens, tropical plants and lovely nature settings.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the marketplace does double duty: After the vendors have shut down their stalls, people gather for one large block party. There is music, food, laughter, and of course, dancing in the streets. Lunch and dinner is offered at the Plaza or Tropical Garden.

The caves are a 268-acre ecosystem that is part of this hemisphere's most impressive subterranean cave network, intricately carved by the mighty Camuy River. Visitors and guides board trams that take them through dense tropical vegetation down to the mouth of Clara cave. Trams also stop at the 650-foot-wide Tres Pueblos sinkhole, where special platforms allow visitors to view the river passing 400 feet below from one cave to another. Another attraction is Espiral Sinkhole, where visitors can actually descend some 205 steps to reach its striking entrance. The and Ionospheric Observatory,
one of Puerto Rico's most recognizable landmarks, and it is a very important part of investigations of inter-spatial communications in the USA. The radio telescope's dish measures an amazing 20 acres, the largest in the world. It gathers information from all parts of the Universe and stores them for professional analysis.

The observatory's 305 m (1,001 ft) radio telescope is the largest single-aperture telescope (cf. multiple aperture telescope) ever constructed. It carries out three major areas of research: radio astronomy, aeronomy (using both the 305 m telescope and the observatory's lidar facility), and radar astronomy observations of solar system objects. Usage of the telescope is gained by submitting proposals to the observatory, which are evaluated by an independent board of referees.
The telescope is visually distinctive and has been used in the filming of notable motion picture and television productions. The telescope received additional international recognition in 1999 when it began to collect data for the SETI@home project. After the high tech adventure, you will be transferred to the Caribe Hilton for your flight plans.
