Day 1: Lima
· Arrival to Lima. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel of your choice. Assistance in check-in procedures, welcoming and briefing.

Day 2: Lima - Cusco
· Breakfast served at the hotel.
· Transfer to the airport for your direct flight to Cusco (1 hour). Upon arrival to Cusco, capital of the Inca Empire, you will be met and driven to the hotel of your choice. Assistance with check-in procedures and briefing of your program will be provided.
· City and Ruins Tour: Cusco is considered the archaeological capital of South America, its Inca rulers once called Cusco the «Navel of the World». Cusco remained the foundations of Inca structures on many of its city streets. The city has the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, proof of these are the city’s most important historical monuments, which you will see this afternoon: The Inca Baths with a sophisticated canal system, the Koricancha Temple, the Kenko Amphitheater, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the Sacsayhuaman Fortress. The churches built on top of Inca temples by Catholic conquistadores, are small, lovely and reveal marvellous housework from the Cusco School of painting, which features a unique mixture of Catholic and indigenous art.

Day 3: Sacred Valley
· Breakfast served at the hotel.
· Start the day with a journey to the famous Sacred valley of the Incas. Visit to the town of Pisac, and its colourful market fair. Typical Andean lunch in the Urubamba Valley followed by a visit to the Ollantaytambo Fortress.
· Overnight at the chosen hotel in the Valley. (B/L/-)

Day 4: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu - Cusco
· Breakfast served at the hotel.
· Transfer to the Ollanta train station for a full-day excursion to Machu Picchu, also called «The lost city of the Incas». The great Mountaintop City was abandoned by the Inca Empire, reclaimed by the jungle and lost to humanity until its rediscovery in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. Machu Picchu, the incredibly preserved ruins of this fabled lost city, cradle of the most advanced pre-Columbian civilization, is still an enigma to the modern world today. Lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, an Orient Express property.
· Afternoon return to Cusco using the deluxe Vistadome train and once in Cusco, transfer to your hotel for overnight. (B/L/-)

Day 5: Cusco - Lima
· Breakfast served at the hotel.
· Transfer to the airport for boarding the flight back to Lima (or continue with extensions to Lake Titicaca or Jungle in Puerto Maldonado*).
· Arrival to Lima. Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Upon arrival to the hotel, assistance with check-in procedures.
· This afternoon, a City tour of Lima, also known as the City of Kings. Lima is long considered the colonial capital of South America, and today it is a thriving city of some 8 million inhabitants. The historic downtown area has been declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations. Its fine architecture should not be missed. Among its main attractions are The Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, The Cathedral, The Santo Domingo or San Francisco convents and the garden suburbs of Mira Flores and San Isidro.

· Breakfast served at the hotel.
