PANTANAL
& BONITO - 5 DAYS & 4 NIGHTS
Day
1. Campo Grande - Pantanal
 Arrival
at the international airport of Campo Grande, where assistance,
with name board, will welcome you. Followed by the transfer to
your Pousada in the Pantanal. Check-in and time at leisure. A
delicious typical Pantanal dinner will be served. After dinner
we head on foot to get a closer contact with the night environment
and animals, like the cayman-alligator. The shining cayman eyes
will look up to you from the water. You have never seen the stars
as bright as in the Pantanal. Overnight at the pousada. (D)
Day
2. Pantanal
 Breakfast
will be served around 06:00 hrs. After breakfast (06:30 hrs.)
a horse riding excursion, one of the best ways to explore the
Pantanal, allowing for visits to areas which are inaccessible
by other means, like flooded areas, where the water is too deep
for motorized vehicles or too shallow for other boats. The horses
in the Pantanal, which are raised in the region, are stout, strong
and have water-resistant skin, and are adapted to crossing long
distances of flooded fields. These horses are trained for inexperienced
riders, making it easy for everyone to observe different environments
in the Pantanal, from flooded fields to open vegetation and even
forests with large trees. On our way we will observe the awakening
of wildlife with its many animal and bird
species around us. Return to the lodge around 11:30 hrs. After
this tiring but unforgettable excursion lunch will be served for
you at the lodge around 12:00 hrs. In the afternoon, around 14:00
hrs. a trip in motorized boats on the river will allow you to
get to know the flora of ciliary forests , its fauna and ictio-fauna
as well. Enjoy the sunset when we return to the pousada. A delicious
dinner will be served around 19:00 hrs. After dinner rest of the
night at leisure. Overnight at the pousada. (B,L,D)
Day 3. Pantanal - Bonito
 Breakfast
will be served around 06:00 hrs After breakfast (around 07:00
hrs.) we leave the pousada and continue our journey to Bonito.
Arrival in Bonito around 12:00 hrs. and check-in at our Hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure to explore this nice village. Overnight
at the hotel. (B,D)
Day 4. Bonito
 Breakfast
will be served around 07:00 hrs. After
breakfast, visit to the Blue Lake Cave. The trail will start with
a 40 minutes walk into the cave, surrounded by beautiful stalactites
and stalagmites formations. After descending 100 meters, you will
see the lake with crystal clear water. The depth is 72 meters
and in the morning when the sunbeams hit the lake, the water has
an intense blue color. Around 11:00 hrs we will visit the crystal
clear waters of the
 Prata
river, were a delicious lunch will be served around 13:00 hrs.
After lunch we walk on a trail along the river through the forest
where we will glimpse birds, wild animals and exuberant vegetation.
We are accompanied by experienced guides in groups of at most
eight persons. As we enter the lake formed by the
many fresh water springs of the Prata river,
we discover a new subaquatic world.
A down-river floating tour, for
about 90 minutes, with
mask, snorkel and complete wetsuit.
There is a curious sensation of flying as we float in this
immense of crystal clear waters surronded by beautiful fish and
vegetation. Transfer back to the hotel and rest of the day at
leisure. Overnight at our hotel. (B,L)
Day 5. Bonito - Campo Grande
After breakfast, transfer to the international airport of Campo
Grande in time for your domestic flight out. (B)
