The Block Me Abraça brought the band Asa de Águia as na attraction in 2002. As usual, Asa adapt their name to the names of the blocks with which it performs, that's why the name Asa Me Abraça (Asa embraces me) came up.This block has been in the Bahian carnival from 1993 onward and amongst its last electric trios (bands) were famous names like Ivete Sangalo, André Lélis (Banda da Maçã) and Pierre Onassis (Bom Balanço).And pay attention! It is very normal to find famous people participating in this block amongs the normal people!
