The
Paraguayan Chaco, also called the green hell, was still unknown
fifty years ago. It is a mysterious, intriguing and wild place,
and has nowadays attracted many visitors because of its abundant
and exotic flora and fauna, its millions of palmtrees. The temperature
in the Chaco varied, and though some claimed that in the Chaco
it never rains, the Nino Phenomenon proved the contrary. We advise
a visit to the Chaco to our adventure loving travelers only.
For
this tour we leave early before sunrise, so we are in time to
observe the morning flights of the birds. The typical MEDIA MAÑANA(Late
breakfast) is part of this trip. On this tour we reach the km
280 of the Transchaco highway. The number and variety of birds
increases as we further penetrate into the Chaco and with some
luck we get a glimps on some other animals that inhabit this region.
Even in the flora you notice a greater variation. The typical
shelters of the natives and their way of survival is part of the
natural life. Lunch will be served in a rustic restaurant. We
return in the afternoon. Chaco is a natural area of huge extensions.
We can really advice you our next trip to get to know the area
