A boat trip of the Isletas is a great way to get to know the
Lake of Nicaragua. Starting at the little harbor of Cabaña
Amaría, you will leave by motor boat to explore Las
Isletas of Granada.
Las Isletas de Granada consists of about 365 small islands
of volcanic origin, situated at the foot of the impressive
Mombacho Volcano.
The majority is property of local fishermen families who
also live there, while other islands host extravagant villas
of the rich and famous. The San Pablo fort was built in
the 18th century to protect Granada against English
pirates. You will visit the fort as well as Monkey Island,
and enjoy ample aquatic and terrestrial vegetation and
(bird) wildlife.
A complementary drink will be served at a restaurant on
one of the islands and you could go for a swim in the
swimming pool.
