Day 1: ARRIVAL TO COSTA RICA
Our staff is prepared to welcome you at Juan Santamaría International Airport. Once you are in the luggage room, you will be identified by a staff member carrying a board with your name and a sticker will be placed on your clothes for an easier identification. You will receive your welcome package and will be transferred to your hotel. Accommodation at Selected hotel.

DAY 2: REGULAR COMBO TOUR: DOKA ESTATE COFFEE TOUR, POAS VOLCANO & LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS
To get to the different attractions included during this excursion, you will drive to the city of Alajuela passing by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park.
As you ascend towards the Poás Volcano you will notice the change in temperature and vegetation; you will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape.
On the way to the volcano you will visit Doka Coffee Estate for a delicious breakfast and a coffee tour, in an actual coffee plantation where you will learn about the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce one of the best coffees in Costa Rica. Learn about the careful process involved in the cultivation, harvesting and roasting of the Golden Bean.
After the coffee tour you will continue to Poás Volcano where we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park.
Following the visit to the volcano you will continue to La Paz Water Fall Garden for lunch and a tour. On arrival, you will walk on a trail, leading to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. Inside the park you will also visit the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house, the butterfly garden and the frog’s exhibit.

Day 3: TORTUGUERO TOWN
Tortuguero is the most important nestling site in the western half of the Caribbean for the endangered green turtle. Be our special guest in a banana processing and packaging plant and learn more about one of Costa Rica's prime product (subject to availability). Board a comfortable boat upon arrival to the port and let this extraordinarily exotic paradise enchant you, as you travel along the Tortuguero Canals. Have a one-in-a-lifetime experience in this unique place surrounded by a great variety of flora and fauna of breathtaking beauty.
At the hotel the local guide will give you the itinerary of the tours that you will have during your stay at Tortuguero. Accommodation at selected hotel.

Surrounded by a network of very scenic canals, this is considered one of the most exotic regions of the world, characterized by its richness in flora and fauna.

Day 5: PRIVATE TRANSFER TO ARENAL
Breakfast. Boat transfer to Caño Blanco. At your arrival in Guapiles you will take a delicious lunch and then you will change in a private transportation to Arenal. Arrival at the hotel. We recommend a visit to the Tabacón Resort, to enjoy a dip in the thermal pools. If the weather allows us, you may see Arenal Volcano’s frequent explosions. Accommodation at selected hotel.

Day 6: REGULAR TOUR ARENAL VOLCANO HIKE & TABACON HOTSPRINGS
The Arenal Volcano is active since 1968, it constantly ejects gases, water, fumaroles and explosions with pyroclastic material emissions, and sometimes the eruptions are accompanied with powerful thunders.
The ash is carried by the wind over long distances especially to the northwest area of the volcano. The biggest and heaviest material falls close to the crater. The lava flows come out of the crater with a temperature up to 1 000 Centigrade. As the lava flows down it slowly cools off. A short hike in one of the trails close to the volcano area will give us the chance to enjoy some forest and the activity around it.
At the hot springs you can enjoy a healthy and relaxing soak; it is also possible to see the Arenal Volcano erupting from a comfortable spa.
With the improvement of the road from Quesada City to La Fortuna, the number of local and foreign visitors has increased. Today it is possible to find all kinds of tourist facilities and the friendliness of the people in La Fortuna.
