Surfing is very popular in the city of Jacó. Jacó (pronounced 'ha-ko') plays party central to capitalinos itching for a quick hit of sea and surf. Ten years ago, it had it all - warm water, great year-round surf and world-class fishing; now, extra features include rampant prostitution and a drug problem. Still, Jacó continues to pull a crowd.
