Located 300 km north of Fortaleza, Jericoacoara is one of the most international beaches in all Brazilian coast, bringing together a collection of many varied beauties into the National Park of Jericoacoara. Jericoacoara is a beach located 300 km about Fortaleza, state of Ceará, in the municipality of Gijoca (Jijoca of Jericoacoara) - Until 1985 it was a simple fishermen village without electricity, roads, telephone or television, lost in between immense white dunes and completely isolated from the rest of the world, until the tourism discover ed it and began to be visited. In 1998 Jericoacora has been supplied with electricity and stated to develop fast but keeping his natural and rustic style. Mostly of the houses and structeres are builded in wood surranded by flowers and plants, the roads are still sand, the atmosphere is magical. Jericoacoara is located in an area of environmental preservation, since 2002 a National Park, between mobile huge dunes, lakes of crystalline water, coconut trees, beautiful beaches, with a calm sea and ocean wave, where the contact with the nature is intense, and the beauty of the landscapes impressive.
